The Ministry of Finance, National Planning and Trade wishes to inform members of the public that the fee for the importation of commercial goods through the passenger arrival terminal will be removed, effective 15th October.
Currently, this fee stands at SCR 500 per piece of luggage.
The removal of the fee forms part of the Government’s continued efforts to support small businesses.
Customs procedures and compliance checks will remain in place to ensure all goods imported through the terminal continue to meet the necessary legal requirements.
