National Assembly approves Supplementary Estimates to regularise 2020 spending

A supplementary Appropriation Bill to regularize expenditure of 2020 is approved.

On its last sitting of the year, Thursday 16th December, the National Assembly has approved a Supplementary Appropriation Bill, 2021.

The bill sought to appropriate a total sum of SR1,226,627,852.15, to regularize expenditure incurred in the year 2020.
The total sum is broken down in two.

A first Supplementary Estimates of SR1,226,627,852.15, was approved by a resolution of the National Assembly on Thursday 10th December 2020.

The same bill contained another Supplementary Estimates of R SR86,895,362.15, approved by another resolution of the National Assembly on Tuesday 14th December 2021.

The Supplementary Appropriation Bill, 2021, was presented for approval by Minister Naadir Hassan, as per Article 154(7) of the Constitution.

Minister Hassan gave details on the additional expenses incurred.
