Budget Briefing by the Ministry of Finance, Trade and the Blue Economy

The Ministry of Finance, Trade and the Blue Economy (MFTBE) will be briefing members of different media houses and stakeholders on the different budget processes and its importance on Tuesday 7th July 2015, at the STC Conference Room at 4.30 p.m.
The aim is to encourage public participation in budget processes, promote accountability and transparency as well as accessibility and availability of relevant budget and financial documents.
The MFTBE is looking at ways to improve performance by better understanding what the public wants and expects from the government. Good public participation can help the government to be more accountable and responsive, and can also improve the public’s perception of governmental performance.
