Minister Loustau Lalanne appoint new members of the Government Audit Committee

Ambassador Maurice Loustau Lalanne, Minister for Finance, Trade, Investment and Economic Planning, has appointed five (5) Members of the Government Audit Committee.
The members are;
- Mr Bernard Pool
- Mrs Lekha Nair
- Mrs Gretel Quatre
- Mr Terence Morel
- Mrs Alice Gill
Mr. Francis Collie, still remains the Chairman of the Committee.
The Government Audit Committee is an Advisory Committee reporting to the Minister responsible for Finance and will serve for a period of three years, effective 1st July 2018.
The Committee’s mandate is to ensure prudent use of government resources, safeguarding the state’s assets, operation of adequate and effective systems and control processes and improvement in accountability and transparency through effective risk management mechanisms in the conduct of Government business.
The Committee’s mandate and authority are set out in the Public Finance Management Act 2012 (PFMA), regulations made under Section 34 of the PFMA and further set out in its respective Charter.
Minister Lalanne would like to thank the outgoing Committee Members for their contributions and engagement and also congratulates the new members and wishes them success and perseverance needed to continue the work undertaken so far.
