Ministries, Departments and Agencies concerned to discuss policy issues with Pick-up, Plant and Truck Hire Association

Wednesday 21st February 2018, VICTORIA, SEYCHELLES: Members of the Pick-up, Plant and Truck Hire Association, PPTHA, will be meeting to discuss policy issues with representatives from the Ministry of Habitat, Infrastructure and Land Transport, Ministry of Finance, Trade and Economic Planning, Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change, and the Public Utilities Corporation, tomorrow Thursday 22nd February 2018, at 3.00 p.m, Liberty House.

This is a follow up of the meetings conducted last week, whereby an agreement was signed between the government and the PPTHA regarding an agreed course of action.

Members of the PPTHA were protesting alongside other operators along the State House and Independence Avenues.

After the second meeting, which took place on the 14th February 2018, an agreement was signed between the government and the PPTHA; and among the conditions set, was a meeting that will take place upon the return in the country of the Minister of Finance, Trade and Economic Planning, in the presence of other relevant partners. Other parties included in the meeting tomorrow will be; the Seychelles Licensing Authority, the Fair Trading Commission and the Ministry of Tourism.
