Capacity building session to improve management of government assets

Heads of accounts and other personnel from government sector involved in asset management will be presented with strategies and training on the use of the asset register, tomorrow, Tuesday 16th June at the SITE (Ex NIE) Auditorium, Mont Fleuri from 9.00 .am to 12 noon.
This is part of the Ministry of Finance, Trade and the Blue Economy (MFTBE) programme to improve the management of government assets to safeguard public finances and enhance economic governance.
Participants will be presented with a short term strategy and procedures to address fixed asset management issues that need urgent and immediate attention, a long term strategy and procedures to establish long-term and sustainable fixed asset management and a standardized asset register for all budget dependent government organizations.
