FA4JR scheme on track to commence payments this week

April 21, 2020

The Financial Assistance for Job Retention (FA4JR) committee has announced on Tuesday 21 April that it will start making payments this week to business owners which have applied for assistance under the scheme. The FA4JR scheme provides salary assistance to businesses and non-governmental organisations in Seychelles that have been negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

A detailed update will be provided to the public at Thursday 23 April in a live press conference.

The FA4JR hotline number is receiving an extremely high volume of calls and it has been noted that many applicants are requesting step-by-step assistance with filling in the forms. As the operators are busy for extended periods of time on each call, applicants may not be able to get through when all the lines are busy.

To reduce the pressure on the call centre lines, applicants are urged to first read through the FAQs on the website to see if their questions can be answered there.

The Committee is encouraging the electronic submission of application forms and documents via email to fa4jr@finance.gov.sc. For more information regarding the application process, please visit our website on http://www.finance.gov.sc/financial-schemes.
