NAS approves amendments to Postal Sector Law

The National has unanimously approved amendments to the Postal Sector Law, 2010.
The amendments have as objectives to allow the Postal Regulatory to issue, renew and revoke licenses, set up licenses conditions, be responsible for licensees, strengthen the functions and power of the Postal Regulatory entity, set up a proper framework for the appointment of CEO, staff and financial accounts of the body and set up an appeal's mechanism.
The bill was presented before the National Assembly this morning by Minister Naadir Hassan.
