April 19, 2023

The Ministry of Finance, National Planning and Trade has launched its Customer Feedback Management Policy.

The objective of the policy is to: establish a formal structure to enable members of the public to directly contact the Ministry, increase interactions between the two sides, improve service delivery, therefore allowing for more transparency and accountability in the functions of the latter.

The policy sets out the guidelines under which interactions between the Ministry and members of the public should take place.

The policy and feedback form are available online on the Ministry’s website, where submission will be automatic to an email address.

The documents are online; www.finance.gov.sc

Physical forms will also be available at the Ministry’s headquarters, Liberty House.

Upon receiving a submission, in the space of 48 hours, an acknowledgement of receipt should follow.

Response time will be dependent on the subject matter of the feedback, and these timelines are also stated in the policy.

To note, the policy and form are also online on the website of all entities that are budget dependent, falling under the purview of the ministry: SRC, POU, FTC, NBS, NTB, FIU, PEMC.

The Ministry has also explained that all its response will be according to the existing laws, regulations and policies in place.

Members of the public are being encouraged to make use of the online platform to engage directly with the Ministry.
