Appropriation Bill, 2023 is approved by the National Assembly

The Appropriation Bill, 2023, has been approved by the National Assembly, this afternoon.
 
19 members voted in favour of the bill.
 
To recall, the government is appropriating a total sum of R10,495,149.665 billion for next year.
 
Minister Hassan has expressed his appreciation to all who have contributed towards the 2023 budget, but special thanks go to all staff of the Ministry of Finance, National Planning and Trade for their hard work.
 
Minster Hassan delivered his 2023 Budget Address on Friday 04th November, triggering the budget process in the National Assembly, which saw members give their response to the address, followed by Minister Hassan's response, and the Committee Stage of the National Assembly, where budget dependent entities had to defend their budget allocation.
 
The Appropriation Bill, 2023, will now be assented by the President.
