Praslin and La Digue residents to contribute towards implementation of SME seed capital scheme

Residents, businesses, partners and stakeholders on Praslin will also have the opportunity to contribute towards the proposed Startup grant scheme for the Small Medium Enterprise (SME), through a second consultative meeting on Praslin for both islands.

This will take place at the Bahai Centre, Baie Ste Anne Praslin on Tuesday 16th May 2017 from 9.00 a.m to 11.00 a.m.

The Ministry of Finance, Trade & Economic Planning and the Ministry of Employment, Entrepreneurship Development and Business Innovation are organizing this consultative meeting in collaboration with its partners and stakeholders.

Partners, stakeholders and all concerned are invited to provide input, queries and or suggestions for the successful implementation of the scheme.

The government is providing a seed capital for Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of up to SCR 50,000 to assist them in their early stages of development and for the successful implementation of the scheme, it is important that all concerned parties are involved on the onset.

The aim is to gather as much information and contribution as possible on the scheme from all concerned parties and encourage the idea of collaboration and networking in the eventual launching and implementation of the Startup grant scheme, a second consultative meeting is being organized for the public on both Praslin and La Digue.

The first consultative meeting was done on Thursday 4th May 2017, at the ICSS, for the general public, relevant partners and stakeholders on Mahe.
