New online auction platform launched

The Ministry of Finance, National Planning and Trade is launching its new online auction sale platform.
The platform http://auction.finance.gov.sc/will be used for public auction sale of government assets that have been approved for disposal through public auction sale.
The platform will go live on Tuesday 25th October, where the first online auction will be held.
Bidders will have three days– Tuesday to Thursday (end of working day) to view the assets being auctioned and place their bids online after which the winning bidder will be informed through email correspondence upon closing of the sale.
Winning bidders will be required to make payment and collect their winning bids on the Friday 28th October 2022at the Ministry of Finance, Trade and National Planning.
The launch of the online auction sale website is the latest move towards adoption of technology in the public service, and endorsing the government's ambition of developing the digital economy sector.
