IPR - Stakeholders meet to discuss issues and the way forward

Key local stakeholders met this week to discuss issues and concerns surrounding Intellectual Property Rights in Seychelles, and proposed the way forward.
 
The meeting was chaired by the Principal Secretary for Trade, Mr. Francis Lebon.
 
The discussions focused on certain types of counterfeit goods that are entering the country as well as protection of registered intellectual property rights in Seychelles.
 
While there are numerous laws providing protection for Intellectual Property Rights, the stakeholders agreed that more needs to be done to enhance the their implementation.
