August 23, 2022

The National Planning Department has kick-started the Agenda 2063, ‘National Orientation Session’ process in preparation of the evaluation of the First Ten-Year Implementation Plan (FTYIP) and the elaboration of the Second Ten-Year Implementation Plan (STYIP).

The process brings together stakeholders from various groupings and backgrounds.

The National Consultation Report emanating from this multi-stakeholder consultation will be produced by the National Planning Department, validated by all stakeholder involved and submitted to the African Union Commission, for further evaluation of the progress of Agenda 2063’s FTYIP across all AU member states.

This exercise will be further supported by the previous submissions of the biennial performance reports which was produced by the Department in collaboration with various key partners.

The process forms part of Seychelles’ efforts to ensure the Agenda 2063 is domesticated and mainstreamed within national development plans, strategies, policies, programmes and projects and remains committed to seeking the overall achievement of this Agenda.

As part of ensuring implementation of Agenda 2063, all AU member states have been called to lead and coordinate the consultation processes at country level in preparation of the evaluation of the First Ten-Year Implementation Plan (FTYIP) and the elaboration of the Second Ten-Year Implementation Plan (STYIP).
