India's High Commissioner to Seychelles pays farewell courtesy call on Minister Hassan

The outgoing Indian High Commissioner to Seychelles, H. E Gen. Dalbir Singh Suhag (Retd.), paid a farewell courtesy call on Minister Naadir Hassan, this morning.

The High Commissioner complemented Minister Hassan and his team, at the Ministry of Finance, National Planning and Trade, on the 'super job', they are doing, to get the Seychelles' economy back on track, after the COVID 19 pandemic.

He made a special mention of the current stable foreign exchange rate, (below R15 to the Dollar), which was a far cry from 2020, when the Rupee was at R22 to the Dollar.

He also congratulated Minister Hassan on his nomination for the African Finance Minister of the year Award, by the African Leadership Magazine. The winner is expected to be announced later today, 06th June, 2022.

Minister Hassan has expressed his appreciation to the High Commissioner 'for all the assistance, India has extended to Seychelles.'

"Seychelles and India, have a very good relationship, with lots of historical ties. Let's continue that relationship."

The Indian High Commissioner to Seychelles, Gen. Dalbir Singh Suhag (Retd.), was accredited in 2019.
