Meeting a fellow economist

The Danish Ambassador to Seychelles, H.E Ole Thonke, paid a courtesy call on Minister Naadir Hassan this afternoon.

Ambassador Thonke, a trained economist, shared the experience of his country during the COVID-19 pandemic and how Denmark is faring quite well.

Seychelles on the other hand, was not doing so well.

“It is only now, with the re-opening of the country, that we are seeing some economic recovery”, Minister Hassan told Ambassador Thonke.

Present at the meet, was the Principal Secretary for Trade, Ms. Cillia Mangroo and Denmark Honorary Consul to Seychelles, Mr. Basil Soundy.

Ambassador Thonke is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
