Amendments to 2020 Budget to be presented on 7 April

Following the adjournment of the National Assembly this morning, the Ministry of Finance, Trade, Investment and Economic Planning will now present the Government's proposed Appropriation (Amendment) Bill, 2020 (Bill No.14 of 2020) on Tuesday the 7th April, 2020. Speaking at a press conference this morning after the National Assembly was adjourned, the Minister responsible for Finance, Ambassador Maurice Loustau-Lalanne told members of the media that although disappointed that the reading was adjourned, the Government is prepared to follow the legal procedure and wait the 7 days required for the next reading.
