Parliamentarians, media, youth, government officials among those to learn more about the Seychelles Extractive Industry Transparency Initiatives

The Multi Stakeholder Group (MSG), of the Seychelles Extrcative Industry Transparency Initiative (SEITI) will be organising dissemination sessions with diffrent groups of people, members of the public and organisations in the country.

The main objective of  the dissemination session is to increase knowledge of key partners, members of the public, organisations and stakeholders on the results of its first EITI Reconciliation Report for the years 2013 to 2014.

EITI is an international standard for transparency in extractive industry payments and reciepts of which Seychelles is the 46th candidate country since the 6th of August 2014.

As part of the EITI standards, impementing countries are required to publish an EITI Reconciliation Report 18 months after becoming a candidate and go through a Validation process two and a half years after publishing the EITI Report.
