First dissemination session on budget 2019 and Vision 2033

Public Relation Officers should sell positive things and ideasĀ in their Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs, in a positive way; one of the key messages that came out in the first dissemination session on the National Budget and Vision 2033, that took place at the International Conference Centre.
The dissemination session was targeted for Public Relation Officers, PROs, in Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the country.
The session is aimed at providing information to the PROs to encourage and ensure consistency and networking amongst MDAs.
In his remarks, Vice President Vincent Meriton, spoke of the need for PROs to use all available mediums to spread positive news about what is going on in the different MDAs. "The problem in the government is that we do not sell ourselves enough", says Vice President Meriton.
This session is an initiative of the Ministry of Finance, Trade, Investment and Economic Planning in collaboration with the Department of Communication, in the Vice President's Office.
In his opening remarks, the Principal Secretary for Information, Denis Rose, spoke of the need for PROs to be up to date with relevant information so as to better share and inform the public.
And on his part, the Minister for Finance, Trade, Investment and Economic Planning, Maurice Loustau Lalanne gave an overview of the 2019 Budget. Minister Lalanne stressed that the MoF, is open to anyone and that staff are willing and available to provide any assistance require. Something that was echoed by Vice President Meriton.
The second part of the session comprised of a presentation by the Principal Secretary for Economic Planning, Elizabeth Agathine on Vision 2033.
