First National Business Summit bring leaders of all sectors together to discuss Seychelles’ business landscape

Leaders from all sectors of the economy will participate in a first National Business Summit, on Tuesday 3rd July, 2018, 9.00a.m, to 4.30 p.m at Eden Bleu. A Summit organized by the Department of Investment in the Ministry of Finance, Trade, Investment and Economic Planning, the Seychelles Investment Board, and the Seychelles Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The aim of the forum is to get leaders together for a frank and detailed examination of the business landscape in Seychelles. It will include presentations by key people from both the public and private sectors under three thematic areas, “Foundations for a Robust Economy”, Strategies for Business Led Economic Growth” and “Creating and Enabling Environment “where issues such as the Seychelles Business Environment, Business Entrepreneurship and Development, and Investment opportunities in Seychelles would be discussed. Participants will also have the opportunity to share views in the respective plenary sessions.

In his State of the Nation Address, SONA, President Danny Faure spoke of a first local Business Summit; where all principal actors will be present to share their suggestions on measures to improve the ease of doing business. It will also be a platform where the Government can listen to what various sectors have to say, with the aim of better planning our economic and social development”.

The summit is expected to produce recommendations on how the business environment may be improved to allow for greater ease to start and operate a business in Seychelles.
