English-speaking African countries meet in Seychelles for the World Trade Organisation Trade Negotiations Simulation Skills Course

Seychelles is hosting the WTO Regional Advance Trade Negotiations Simulation Skills, TNS.Representatives from the Trade Department, Customs, Department of Information, Communication Technology (DICT), the Attorney General’s Office, the Seychelles Fishing Authority, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, and the Department of Industry, are attending a one-week training at Savoy Hotel, alongside other English Speaking African countries.

The training, which started on Monday 28th May, will end on June the 1st 2018 and it is being organized by the World Trade Organisation (WTO). It is being facilitated by WTO Trade Experts and is fully funded by WTO as well.

The course forms part of the WTO general programme of technical assistance offered to member states, and it is designed to provide participants with skills and knowledge regarding appropriate strategies and tactics to conduct trade negotiations, as well as techniques of systematic decision analysis for monitoring and managing the negotiation process.
