Import Permit

Rules governing the requirement for Import Permits is contained in the Trades Tax Act under Trades Tax (Prohibited and Restricted Goods) Regulations.

A company or an individual wishing to import any restricted goods for the first time must submit a copy of the following document:

• Valid Trading Licence
• National Identity Card (or passport if the applicant is a non resident)

An applicant for an Import Permit should be accompanied by full detail supporting documents (eg Pro-forma invoice, samples etc) in respect to the listed restricted goods.

Permission for an import permit must be obtained prior to the importation of the goods.

Export Permit

An Export permit is required for some category of goods exported outside Seychelles.
