Trade Division

The trade division has its main objectives to modernize the economy and eliminate, as far as possible, barriers to trade.  The division does this by:

  • Contributing towards increased international and regional economic forums and trade cooperation through the participation of regional and international organizations;
  • Promoting Seychelles as an international trade and investment area;
  • Promoting the export of goods and services;
  • Promoting the transfer of technology and knowledge inclusive of the acquisition of skills through cooperation programs.
  • Supporting national, social and economic development through trade policy measures;
  • Staying in contact with international trade and related organizations on trade policy matters including cooperation;
  • Working towards WTO Accession.
